We run our own Claude Max x20 + ChatGPT Codex Plus subscriptions and let users tap into them. Each tier gets a USD-cents budget that ticks down every call at the public per-token rate of whichever model you used. Free: $0.30/month, Pro: $5/day, Institutional: $30/day with a priority queue (Institutional jumps ahead in line). $0.30 fits roughly 30 Haiku calls, 10 Sonnet, or 2 Opus — try whichever model you want. Free users who want unlimited should connect their own ChatGPT or paste an API key (BYOK) — it's free for them.

"Bring Your Own Key" lets you connect your own Anthropic / OpenAI / OpenRouter / Gemini API key, OR your ChatGPT subscription via OAuth. We route AI calls through your account instead of our shared pool. Available on every tier including Free. Result: unlimited Opus 4.7 / Sonnet 4.6 / GPT-5 usage at your cost (and if you have ChatGPT Plus, it's effectively free since your $20/mo already covers it). Transparent — you see exactly what you spend in your provider's dashboard. API keys are AES-256-GCM encrypted at rest; OAuth credentials live in a per-user sandbox we can't read.

We return a clean 429 with two CTAs: (1) upgrade your tier (more budget, daily reset), or (2) connect BYOK / ChatGPT (no budget cap at all). If a single request would cost more than your whole period budget (e.g. asking Opus on the Free tier) we refuse pre-spawn with a clear message — your budget isn't wasted on the attempt. We never silently swap to a cheaper model.

You can have one in-flight at a time on Free, three on Pro, ten on Institutional. The cap stops one heavy user from monopolizing the shared pool. If you submit a second while the first is still running, you'll get a brief "wait a moment" 429 — submit again once the previous finishes.

Yes. Cancellation is one click — your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, then drops to Neural (Free Forever). No proration claw-back, no exit fee.
