Formion Wallet browser extension · effective 19 October 2026
The short version
Formion Wallet is a self-custody wallet. Your recovery phrase and private keys are created and stored only on your device, encrypted with your password. Formion never receives them and cannot recover them. We do not collect personal data, we do not track you, and we do not sell or share any data.
What stays on your device
Your recovery phrase and keys — encrypted with AES-256-GCM (key derived with PBKDF2-SHA256, 600,000 rounds) in the extension's local storage. While the wallet is unlocked, the phrase is kept only in the browser's in-memory session storage and is removed when you lock the wallet, when auto-lock runs, or when the browser closes.
Your public addresses, account names, selected network, settings and the list of websites you connected.
What leaves your device, and why
Blockchain requests. To show balances and send the transactions you approve, the extension talks to public blockchain RPC nodes: publicnode.com, mainnet.base.org, cloudflare-eth.com, arb1.arbitrum.io and bsc-dataseed.bnbchain.org. These requests contain your public address and, when you confirm a transaction, the signed transaction. Those providers can see your IP address, as with any website. Signed transactions become public on the blockchain by design.
Websites you connect. A website gets your public address only after you approve the connection, and it gets signatures or transactions only after you approve each one.
Site icons. The approval window shows the website's icon using Chrome's built-in favicon service.
What we do not do
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no cookies set by the extension.
No access to your browsing history beyond the website that is asking you to approve something.
No remote code: everything the extension runs ships inside the package reviewed by the Chrome Web Store.
We do not sell, rent or transfer user data to third parties, and we do not use it for credit or lending decisions.
Your control
You can disconnect any website, lock the wallet, or remove the wallet from the extension at any time (Settings → Remove wallet). Removing the extension deletes all of its local data. Keep your recovery phrase safe: it is the only way to restore your funds.
Children
The extension is not directed to children under 18.
